March Favorites

Hey! I wanted to start a monthly favorites to show what I liked in the past month. From clothing, food, tech, and beauty.

This March I did a little bit of shopping here and there but most of these favorites are things I've had before but am really into again.

1. Wet n Wild fastdry in 'SaGreena the Teenage Witch'
Out of all the greens in my nail polish collection, this one is the perfect shade. It also last for a good amount of time before chipping.

2. Urban Decay: All Nighter Long-Lasting Makeup Setting Spray
This is the first setting spray I have ever tried and I am hooked. I've used it for cosplay, day to day makeup on hot days, and when I go out. Works like a charm for me.

3. Maybelline Dream Matte Mousse
My favorite foundation. I first wore this foundation on my wedding day years ago. Since then I have tried many different drugstore foundations, and ended up coming back to this one. It is long lasting, light weight, good coverage, and does not cause breakouts. Loved it then, love it now.

4. DUO Brush on eyelash adhesive
When I found this, I heard heavenly music play. An eyelash glue with a wand was just what I needed. Easy application and held my lashes on through cosplay madness.

5. NYC Smooch Proof 16H Lipstain in 'Rock on Ruby 497'
I really like the NYC brand and decided to try their lipstain. It does not transfer to straws, cups, and really is smooch proof. The stain does last for quite a bit. It gives me a light red lip color, which I love.

6. Batman Peter Pan Collar by Shlii
Being a Joker Fangirl, this collar was necessary. I can't wait to do an ootd with it!

7. Bioshock Infinite
Such a good game. When I started the game all I could gush about was how visually beautiful it is. It also doesn't hurt that one of my favorite voice actors, Troy Baker, voices Booker.

Hope you enjoyed my monthly faves!

Don't let fashion go to waste!

Hey loves. I wanted to share this with you real quick since I am about to go to the mall and do this myself. If you are in the middle of Spring Cleaning your wardrobe, drop by your local H&M! They have a new garment recycling program to help keep old clothing out of landfills. If you bring in a bag (or two) you will receive 15% off of a single item. You'll be rewarded for clearing out old clothing. It's a win win situation! For more info on the nitty gritty of this program check out H&M conscious and H&M: Long Live Fashion. Also, here is a video from Michelle Phan showing how it is done. Happy cleaning and happy shopping!

OOTD: In Savannah

Last weekend my husband and I went to Savannah, Ga. I love that city. It has so much charm to it. Near the end of the trip we decided to visit the Bonaventure Cemetery. Such a peaceful place with lots of history.

Hat: UO. Spiked Headband: Ebay. Black Cardigan: Express. Dress: Hot Topic. Shoes: UO.

The purse I am wearing is a favorite thrift find of mine.
It was only $3 and has held up great over the years.

I'll end this post with a photo of me looking tiny under a lovely tree.

Music Monday: Voodoo Child

Spring is upon us! When the weather warms up, I get in the mood for some good old Psychedelic Rock. Here is a clip I found that is to the song 'Voodoo Child' by Jimi Hendrix. I love this song and the clip is pretty awesome.

Oz: The Great and Fashionable

Oz: The Great and Powerful is finally in theaters tomorrow! When I go to the movies, I like to dress with the theme. So to get in the spirit I decided to have a bit of fun and make outfits inspired by the characters.

A cute semi relaxed version of The Wizard with a pair of dark blue jeans. This would be a cute look for any day actually, sans the top hat haha.
The Wizard

I really like this character's outfit. I felt a peplum would work nicely for her jacket.

A good witch can still wear awesome shoes. I love the heel. Reminds me of the bubbles Glinda seems to travel in at one point in this movie. The Lime Crime Snowsicle gloss seemed perfect for her. Sparkly and good witch approved.
The wicked witch and her all black look is a favorite of mine. Instead of painting yourself green, you could wear green lipstick!

Wicked Witch

Evanora's dress is green I believe, but I went with a black sequin with lace. The boots are nice and have that "hey I'm a witch" feel. :P

Ball Joint Doll tights are a great accessory to get the dolly look. Also pearls, red lipstick and hints of lace represent this cute character well.
China Doll

The flying monkey outfit was probably my favorite to make. Instead of wearing huge wings to the movies, a pair of winged earrings could work!

Flying Monkey

I am so excited to see this movie. I think I'm going to wear an outfit inspired by The Wicked Witch.

That's all for now. xoxo

Music Monday: Now

Today's song is by Paramore! Recently they released the video for 'Now'. This song is great. It's been in my head all morning, and I don't mind. :) Also, I love the way Hayley looks in the video. Reminds me of The 5th Element.
